Terms of Service for UnScriptly™
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to UnScriptly™.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the UnScriptly website, forms, documentation, open-source tools, templates, Progressive Web Apps, dashboards, scripts, codebases, downloadable resources, and related materials made available by UnScriptly (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing the UnScriptly website, submitting a form, copying a tool, downloading a resource, using an UnScriptly template, or interacting with any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
UnScriptly is an open-source and source-available distribution platform for productivity tools built primarily on Google Workspace technologies.
The Service may include:
Google Apps Script tools;
Google Sheets-based dashboards;
Headless spreadsheet databases;
Custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interfaces;
Progressive Web Apps;
Automation templates;
Internal operations tools;
Documentation;
Setup instructions;
Code snippets;
Educational materials;
Community resources; and
Related website content.
UnScriptly tools are designed to function inside a user’s own Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and Google Workspace environment.
Unlike traditional software-as-a-service platforms, UnScriptly generally does not host user tool instances on UnScriptly-controlled servers. Instead, tools are commonly distributed through Google Drive or Google Apps Script /copy links that allow users to create their own independent copy of the tool.
2. Eligibility and Account Requirements
To use many UnScriptly tools, you must have access to a valid Google account or Google Workspace account.
By using the Service, you represent that:
You are at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction;
You have the authority to accept these Terms on your own behalf or on behalf of the organization you represent;
Any information you provide to UnScriptly is accurate and complete;
You will use the Service only in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; and
Your use of Google services will comply with Google’s applicable terms, policies, and security requirements.
If you use UnScriptly on behalf of a company, organization, agency, school, nonprofit, or other legal entity, “you” includes both you individually and the entity you represent.
3. The
/copy
Distribution Model
UnScriptly uses a unique distribution model designed to give users ownership and control over their own tools and data.
When you access certain UnScriptly tools, you may receive a Google Drive or Google Apps Script /copy URL. This link allows you to clone the tool, source code, and connected Google Sheet architecture into your own Google Drive or Google Workspace environment.
Once copied:
You control the copied files;
You control the copied Apps Script project;
You control the connected spreadsheet or database;
You control who has access;
You control the data entered into the tool;
You control whether to modify, delete, share, or deploy the tool; and
Your copied instance operates independently from UnScriptly.
UnScriptly does not own, administer, monitor, or control your copied instance after it has been created in your Google environment.
4. User Responsibility for Copied Tools
You are solely responsible for your use of any copied UnScriptly tool.
This includes responsibility for:
Reviewing the tool before use;
Reviewing the Apps Script code before authorization;
Understanding what Google permissions the tool requests;
Authorizing or declining requested permissions;
Managing Google Drive sharing settings;
Managing Google Sheets access;
Managing Apps Script deployments;
Maintaining backups of your data;
Testing the tool before operational use;
Ensuring the tool is appropriate for your business, organization, or workflow;
Applying updates manually when new versions are released;
Maintaining your own security practices;
Complying with applicable privacy, data protection, employment, financial, healthcare, education, consumer protection, and industry-specific laws;
Complying with your organization’s internal policies; and
Managing any risks created by modifications you or others make to the copied tool.
UnScriptly has no access to, control over, or visibility into the data you process using copied tools unless you voluntarily provide that information to us for support, feedback, or troubleshooting purposes.
5. Google Workspace and Third-Party Platform Terms
UnScriptly tools depend on third-party platforms and services, including Google Sites, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, Google Workspace, and other Google services.
Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms, policies, privacy notices, permission systems, rate limits, quotas, security rules, and account restrictions.
UnScriptly is not responsible for:
Google account suspensions;
Google Workspace policy restrictions;
Apps Script authorization issues;
OAuth consent screens;
Google API limitations;
Script runtime quotas;
Changes to Google services;
Google Workspace outages;
Google Drive permission misconfigurations;
Google Sheets performance limitations;
Browser compatibility issues caused by third-party platforms; or
Any data loss, access issue, or operational disruption caused by third-party services.
You are responsible for reviewing and complying with all applicable third-party terms before using UnScriptly tools.
6. Security Authorizations and “Unverified App” Notices
When running a copied Apps Script tool for the first time, Google may display an authorization prompt, security warning, or “Unverified App” notice.
This may occur because your copied instance of the script is running in your Google account or Workspace environment and may not be separately verified by Google as a published app.
You are responsible for:
Reviewing the requested permissions;
Inspecting the Apps Script code if you choose to do so;
Determining whether the tool is appropriate for your environment;
Deciding whether to authorize the tool;
Complying with your organization’s security requirements; and
Revoking access if you no longer wish to use the tool.
By authorizing a copied tool, you acknowledge that you are granting permissions to the copied script instance inside your own Google account or Workspace environment, not to a centrally hosted UnScriptly backend.
7. Open-Source and Source-Available Licensing
UnScriptly believes in transparent, inspectable, and modifiable tools.
Unless a specific project states otherwise, UnScriptly tools may be distributed under a permissive open-source license, such as the MIT License, or another license identified in the applicable project documentation.
The specific license included with each tool or repository governs your rights to copy, use, modify, fork, distribute, or commercialize that tool.
Where a tool is provided under an open-source license, you may generally be permitted to:
Read the source code;
Copy the tool;
Modify the tool;
Adapt the tool for your own workflows;
Fork the code;
Use the tool for personal or business purposes; and
Share modified versions, subject to the applicable license terms.
If a tool includes a separate license file, readme, notice, attribution requirement, commercial restriction, or usage limitation, that project-specific license controls.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific open-source license included with a tool, the open-source license governs the code rights for that tool, while these Terms continue to govern your use of the UnScriptly website, forms, documentation, distribution channels, and community spaces.
8. No Guaranteed Support
UnScriptly may provide documentation, setup guides, release notes, community discussions, bug report forms, or support channels.
However, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, UnScriptly does not guarantee:
Technical support;
Custom deployment assistance;
Troubleshooting response times;
Service Level Agreements;
One-on-one onboarding;
Workspace configuration support;
Data recovery;
Tool customization;
Compatibility fixes;
Migration support;
Ongoing maintenance for your copied instance; or
Continued availability of any specific free tool.
We may choose to respond to bug reports, support requests, or feature requests at our discretion, but we are not obligated to do so.
9. Updates, Versions, and Maintenance
Because UnScriptly tools are copied into your own Google environment, UnScriptly generally cannot push automatic updates to your copied files.
When we release bug fixes, security patches, improved versions, or new tools, we may notify users through email, website updates, release notes, or community channels.
You are responsible for:
Monitoring update notices;
Deciding whether to copy a newer version;
Migrating your own data if necessary;
Reapplying any custom modifications;
Testing updated versions before operational use; and
Maintaining your own copied tool instance.
UnScriptly does not guarantee backward compatibility between versions.
10. Third-Party Services and Lead Capture
To access certain tools, downloads, templates, or resources, you may be asked to provide your email address or other information through Deftforms or another form-processing provider.
We may use this information to:
Provide access to requested tools or resources;
Send /copy links;
Notify you of critical security patches;
Notify you of bug fixes;
Announce new versions;
Share new tool releases;
Respond to support requests;
Review bug reports or feature requests; and
Send occasional product or educational updates.
Your submission of information through these forms is governed by our Privacy Policy.
UnScriptly does not sell your contact information to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
11. User Data and Privacy
UnScriptly’s approach to privacy is based on data minimization and user control.
For copied tools:
Your data remains in your Google Drive or Google Workspace environment;
UnScriptly does not have backend access to your copied tool data;
UnScriptly does not control your spreadsheets, files, prompts, records, clients, metrics, or project data;
UnScriptly does not intentionally include hidden “phone home” analytics in copied tools; and
Your organization’s Google Workspace settings and security policies govern your copied instance.
For website and form interactions, UnScriptly may collect limited information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address or support request details.
Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect, use, store, and protect information.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the UnScriptly website, forms, community channels, documentation, distribution system, or any part of the Service.
You may not use the Service to:
Submit spam, malware, phishing content, or deceptive material;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to UnScriptly systems, forms, accounts, or hosting environments;
Interfere with or disrupt the website, forms, or community channels;
Abuse, overload, scrape, or attack the website or form infrastructure;
Impersonate UnScriptly, its founders, developers, contributors, users, or partners;
Misrepresent your relationship with UnScriptly;
Harass, threaten, defame, abuse, or intimidate other users or community members;
Submit unlawful, harmful, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or abusive content;
Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation;
Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or harmful scripts;
Remove proprietary notices, license notices, or attribution where required;
Claim ownership of UnScriptly branding, trademarks, or official materials without permission;
Use UnScriptly marks in a way that creates confusion about sponsorship or endorsement;
Reverse-engineer or attempt to compromise the UnScriptly website hosting environment;
Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or security features; or
Use UnScriptly tools in a way that infringes the rights of others.
You are responsible for ensuring that your own modified or deployed versions of UnScriptly tools comply with applicable laws and do not harm others.
13. Prohibited High-Risk Uses
Unless UnScriptly has entered into a separate written agreement with you, UnScriptly tools are not intended for high-risk, mission-critical, or regulated uses where failure could result in significant harm.
You should not rely on UnScriptly tools as the sole system for:
Emergency response;
Medical diagnosis or treatment;
Patient record management;
Legal advice or legal compliance determinations;
Financial trading or investment decisions;
Critical infrastructure operations;
Life-safety systems;
Payroll or tax filing without independent verification;
Regulated recordkeeping without appropriate review;
Security incident response;
Law enforcement decisions;
Eligibility determinations affecting legal rights; or
Any use where tool failure, data loss, or inaccurate output could cause serious harm.
If you choose to use UnScriptly tools in sensitive or regulated contexts, you do so at your own risk and are solely responsible for obtaining appropriate professional review, compliance controls, backups, security safeguards, and human oversight.
14. User Modifications and Derived Works
You may modify copied UnScriptly tools, subject to the applicable project license.
However, UnScriptly is not responsible for any issue caused by:
User modifications;
Third-party modifications;
Custom code added by you or your team;
Removal of validation logic;
Broken formulas or references;
Apps Script changes;
API key mismanagement;
Permission changes;
Deployment changes;
Workspace policy conflicts;
Incompatible add-ons;
Incorrect configuration;
Data migration errors; or
Any other changes made after copying the tool.
If you distribute a modified version of an UnScriptly tool, you are responsible for clearly identifying your changes and complying with the applicable license terms.
You may not present a modified version as an official UnScriptly product unless we have expressly authorized you to do so in writing.
15. Intellectual Property
The UnScriptly website, brand, name, logo, documentation, design assets, product names, original website copy, and official materials are owned by UnScriptly or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Open-source tool code is licensed according to the license included with the relevant project.
Except as permitted by an applicable open-source license, these Terms do not grant you ownership of:
The UnScriptly name;
The UnScriptly logo;
UnScriptly trademarks;
Official UnScriptly branding;
Website design assets;
Official product descriptions;
Non-code documentation;
Marketing copy;
Community materials; or
Any other proprietary materials not expressly licensed for reuse.
You may not use UnScriptly branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, certification, or official status without written permission.
16. Feedback, Ideas, and Contributions
You may submit bug reports, feature requests, ideas, comments, suggestions, or other feedback to UnScriptly.
By submitting feedback, you grant UnScriptly a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, copy, modify, publish, distribute, and incorporate that feedback into our tools, documentation, website, business, or future products without compensation to you.
You represent that you have the right to submit the feedback and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.
Submitting feedback does not create a confidential, fiduciary, employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and UnScriptly.
17. Community Channels
UnScriptly may maintain or participate in community channels, including channels on X/Twitter, Reddit, forums, email lists, or other platforms.
Your use of those third-party community platforms is governed by their own terms and policies.
You agree to participate respectfully and lawfully.
UnScriptly may remove, moderate, report, or restrict access to community submissions or users that violate these Terms, community guidelines, platform rules, or applicable law.
18. Disclaimers of Warranties
The UnScriptly website, tools, code, templates, documentation, examples, forms, community resources, and all related materials are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UnScriptly expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:
Warranties of merchantability;
Fitness for a particular purpose;
Non-infringement;
Accuracy;
Reliability;
Availability;
Security;
Compatibility;
Error-free operation;
Uninterrupted operation;
Data integrity;
Suitability for regulated use;
Suitability for commercial use; and
Suitability for any particular workflow, industry, or jurisdiction.
UnScriptly does not warrant that:
The Service will meet your requirements;
The website will always be available;
The tools will run without interruption;
The tools will be free from bugs or errors;
The tools will be secure against all possible threats;
Google APIs or Apps Script services will remain unchanged;
Google Workspace will continue to support all required functionality;
Your copied tool will remain compatible with future platform updates;
Documentation will be complete or current;
Outputs generated by a tool will be accurate;
The tools will prevent all user error;
The tools will prevent all spreadsheet breakage;
The tools will prevent all data loss; or
Any issue will be corrected.
Any reliance you place on UnScriptly tools or materials is at your own risk.
19. Spreadsheet, Script, and Automation Risks
UnScriptly tools may use Google Sheets, Apps Script, formulas, triggers, HTML interfaces, APIs, and automation logic.
You acknowledge that these systems may fail or behave unexpectedly due to factors including:
User error;
Deleted tabs;
Renamed columns;
Broken references;
Spreadsheet size limits;
Apps Script runtime limits;
Google API quota limits;
Trigger failures;
Authorization changes;
Browser restrictions;
Network issues;
Google Workspace updates;
Third-party service outages;
Incorrect setup;
Code modifications;
Conflicting add-ons;
Invalid data inputs; or
Misuse of the tool.
UnScriptly’s design patterns may reduce certain risks, but no architecture can guarantee immunity from breakage, data loss, permission issues, or operational errors.
You are responsible for maintaining backups and testing tools before relying on them for important workflows.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UnScriptly, its founders, developers, contributors, affiliates, licensors, service providers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, enhanced, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages for:
Loss of profits;
Loss of revenue;
Loss of business opportunities;
Loss of goodwill;
Loss of anticipated savings;
Loss of data;
Data corruption;
Data breaches;
Business interruption;
Operational failure;
Spreadsheet errors;
Apps Script errors;
#REF! errors;
Formula errors;

Security misconfigurations;
Unauthorized access to your Google account;
Incorrect outputs;
Incomplete templates;
Reliance on documentation;

Failed automations;
Modified code;
Third-party platform failures; or
Any other loss arising from or related to your use of the Service.
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or any other legal theory, even if UnScriptly has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnScriptly’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of:
The amount you paid UnScriptly for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim arose; or
One hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
21. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless UnScriptly, its founders, developers, contributors, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and partners from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, expenses, or fees, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:

Any dispute between you and your users, clients, employees, contractors, customers, or organization.
UnScriptly reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.
22. Termination and Suspension
UnScriptly may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the website, forms, community channels, or future tool distribution at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk, harmed the community, abused the Service, or violated applicable law.
Because copied tools live in your own Google environment, UnScriptly generally cannot remove tools you have already copied into your own Google Drive.
However, termination may affect your ability to:
Access future tools;
Receive updates;
Submit forms;
Participate in community channels;
Receive support;
Access documentation; or
Use UnScriptly branding or official materials.
You may stop using the Service at any time.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, license provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute provisions, and any other terms intended to remain in effect.

UnScriptly may modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
This includes the right to:
Add new tools;
Remove tools;
Change documentation;

Change the structure of the UnScriptly website.
We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of any part of the Service.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Changes become effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service.
25. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable law provides you with a different mandatory forum.
26. Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact UnScriptly and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
You may contact us through the official “Contact” form or other official contact method listed on the UnScriptly website.
Both parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue before pursuing formal legal action.
27. No Professional Advice
UnScriptly tools, templates, documentation, and examples are provided for general productivity, operational, educational, and informational purposes.
They do not constitute legal, financial, tax, accounting, medical, compliance, security, or professional advice.
You are responsible for consulting qualified professionals before relying on UnScriptly tools for decisions that require professional judgment or regulatory compliance.
28. No Agency or Partnership
These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, agency, fiduciary, or representative relationship between you and UnScriptly.
You may not represent that you have authority to bind UnScriptly or act on behalf of UnScriptly unless we expressly authorize you in writing.
29. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without UnScriptly’s prior written consent.
UnScriptly may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, business transfer, or by operation of law.
30. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
The invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it will be removed without affecting the rest of the Terms.
31. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any project-specific license or documentation, constitute the entire agreement between you and UnScriptly regarding the Service.
They supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings regarding the Service.
32. Contact Information
If you have questions, concerns, support requests, or legal inquiries regarding these Terms, please contact the UnScriptly team through the official UnScriptly website.
You may reach us by:
Using the “Contact” form on the UnScriptly website;
Using the “Submit an Idea” form on the UnScriptly website;
Submitting a bug report or feature request through an official UnScriptly form; or
Contacting the UnScriptly team through official community channels listed on the website.
Please do not include passwords, private API keys, authentication tokens, confidential client records, or sensitive regulated data in your message.
33. Final Acknowledgment
By using the UnScriptly website, copying an UnScriptly tool, downloading a resource, submitting a form, or participating in an UnScriptly community channel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
UnScriptly is built to give users ownership, transparency, and control. With that control comes responsibility for how you copy, authorize, configure, modify, secure, and use the tools in your own environment.
